I am a Christ-follower, a wife, a mother, a slow & clumsy triathlete, a student…oh yeah…and a photographer trying to hone my skills and improve the quality of my work. My photography is a hobby, not a full time job, but it is something I love when I can tuck it into the spaces of my life. However, there is something else that I love more.
There are girls all over the world who have been trafficked, exploited and tricked into the sex industry. I have had the opportunity to spend time with some of these girls in the Philippines and have celebrated as some of them escaped that life to start anew in safe-houses provided by Wipe Every Tear. Each and every one of those beautiful girls holds a special place in my heart alongside the ones that are still trapped. And I am passionate about helping this cause as well as about educating families and girls to prevent them from ever becoming enslaved.
I am not a full time photographer but the jobs that I do take from time to time will be used to help support the communities I love in Manila as well as fund my desire to return to the Philippines and hug my sisters again.
